The Willis Family [Atchison Family Photographer]

This family is another one of my “from the beginning” families (can you tell I spent some time at my alma-mater with all of these).  While I wasn’t able to shoot their wedding, I took their engagement pictures and one year pictures of Miss Agnes.  Now Rose is one and I got to take some more!  This was such a fun shoot and while the girls were a little shy, their absolute cuteness and distinct personalities shone through.  (Plus they have the prettiest matching dresses!  I love that shade of blue.)

The Lojewski Family [Topeka Family and Newborn Photographer]

The Lojewski’s are another family that I have gotten to photograph from the very beginning.  I lived with Meghan my junior year of college and got to watch her fall in love with Mark, get engaged, get married and start their beautiful family.  This shoot was especially special as Mark was home on brief leave from his overseas deployment in order to see his newest little one, Emmalyn (only 5 days old in these pictures).  The last time I saw Abby, she was only 5 months old.  Now she is nearly a year and a half and just moving constantly!  I am so grateful and humbled to be a part of this family’s journey.  I can’t wait to see what else their family has in store!
Tiny little Emmalyn was so awake!  I don’t think she slept a minute I was there.
I love the pure excitement in Abby’s face as she touches her sister’s little toes.
I love you, Lojewski’s!  Thank you for letting me document your life!

Allie and Drew [Atchison Engagement Photographer]

So,  later the same day as the Heppler family photos, I got to shoot these two lovebirds.  I’ve known Allie since high school; we were on newspaper together and had a blast!  Two years later, she ended up joining me at my alma mater.  Allie is always laughing (and I mean always) and I love that she has found someone just as joyful!  Despite (and maybe just a little because of…) the rain, some of my favorite photographs ever were taken this day.  Plus, there’s no way to get enough of that gorgeous red hair!

Can’t wait for your wedding day, Allie and Drew!  If this day was any indication, it’s going to be an amazing party!

…and I love them all… but these last two?  Complete favorites.  Rain, you can come hang out at my parade anytime.

The Heppler Family [Atchison Family Photographer]

I have known the Heppler’s for years… they were among the first engagements and weddings I ever did.  I feel so honored to have photographed their family when they added their first baby girl and now that they have a little boy: I was super excited to capture this family!  They were among the families I was supposed to photograph when our own baby came early, so although I came a little late to the game… it was so good to see the family again and make a few memories.  You can tell through the pictures how important their family is to them.  We started out at their house and moved on to the back roads of Jackson Park to find some gorgeous light (and a lot of wind!).

Thank you for asking me to photograph your family Jake and Tiff!  I had an amazing time!

A Love Story: Matt and Victoria [Missouri Wedding Photographer]

This wedding was such fun to shoot!  Matt and Victoria were totally focused on each other that day – not sweating the details, but still managing to have an amazing party for everyone.  (Make sure you check out Victoria’s brother’s dueling it out on the dance floor.)

Loved her dress!

These two were so shy and adorable!  After a little prodding they very impressively made their way down the aisle!

Oh, the goofiness :).

Loved their wedding cake topper!  I can honestly say it is the most unique one I’ve seen thus far.  It matches Victoria’s favorite photo of them together (on Matt’s motorcycle).

A good cake smashing was to be had…

An awesome and talented band!  I never was able to find out their name, so if anyone knows, let me know!

All in all, a lovely way to spend an evening :).
