The Volkov Family {Thornton Family Photographer}

This sweet family just added an even sweeter little girl to their lives, and while she wasn’t interested in sleeping for her close-up (see that sass right there?  love it!), she snuggled right into mommy and daddy for their family shots.  There’s a whole lot of love in this family, and a whole lot of fun!  Big brothers kept me on my toes, but they were absolutely head over heels for their baby sis, you couldn’t ask for better subjects!

Life with Kaishon - What a beautiful family! Congratulations on their new little bundle. She looks absolutely precious. What a perfect baby girl! : )

3 Days New: Kolbe {Thornton Newborn & Family Photographer}

I was only home a few hours after this shoot before we hopped on a plane for our first stop before we head onto Ireland, but those few hours were long enough to find some favorites from this shoot. Sweet Kolbe was so very sleepy and so very, very new that he made this shoot almost as simple as a newborn shoot can be. We can’t leave his big brother out of the picture, either. John Paul is so excited for his baby brother to be home. Enough rambling, and on to the photos!

Sweet Baby Catherine {Estes Park Newborn Photographer}

Remember Mollie? Well, she and her husband really did have a baby girl (95% was close enough for them!) Miss Catherine was just early enough to be teeny tiny, barely tipping the scales at over five pounds.

Sweet Princess Catherine worked us hard. She yawned and yawned as her eyes drifted close… and then *pop* they’d be open and staring me down. She was so worth it; though. This sweet little girl worked hard to tip the scales at 6 lbs by 4 weeks and all six of those pounds are adorable!

I tried something a little new on this newborn session. I blended lifestyle and studio, because I think both are such a beautiful representation of this sweet new life. Enjoy!

Seth & Erin’s Love Story {Wichita Wedding Photographer}

I’m not sure if I can even begin to tell you how much fun this wedding was.  Erin and I grew up together, in fact, this wedding and reception were in the parish and school I grew up in.  We were in choir together all through grade school and even went to the same high school and college, her always one year ahead of me, checking in on me when I was new to school.  And she and Seth together?  These two have so much fun!  They wanted to hold hands around the door without breaking tradition before the wedding, but their conversation made everyone giggle.  Their reverence and focus during the Mass and vows was beautiful and such a great testament to who they are as a couple.

But that’s not all, they chose their wedding date to coincide with Erin’s grandparents’ 50th wedding anniversary, so there were not one but two sets of vows, cake cutting, dances and toasts.  Absolutely everything was done with love and the entire day was a blast to photograph!  No matter what I do, I feel like I’m leaving a photo out, because I love them all so much so far!
